Seoul National University of Education (SNUE) is the world’s leading institution dedicated to cultivating educational professionals. Since its founding in 1946, SNUE has laid the academic foundation of education in the Republic of Korea and produced educators who have selflessly served in various educational settings. For over 70 years, SNUE has demonstrated that “education” is the driving force behind societal transformation, especially during the turbulent times of modern Korean history.
As we enter this era of digital revolution, SNUE is embarking on a new challenge toward the future.
We will establish an innovative teacher education system that integrativelyconsiders the humanities and sciences, the arts and physical education, and the natural environment and advanced technology, as well as self-realization and civic consciousness, without neglecting the fundamental dignity of human beings that underpins education. SNUE will open new horizons for the future of education through not only domestic efforts but also global educational cooperation.
